Spring Gujarati Indian Wedding in Virginia
About two months ago, this gorgeous Indian wedding was featured in Maharani Weddings and now here are more photos from this wedding in Manassas, Virginia. I honestly don’t know how our clients do it, getting up at 3am to start hair and makeup and then partying until well past midnight. No wonder our bride took a short nap while changing in the afternoon into her evening outfit. All photos by Photographick Studios
I really like the lattice design for the back of this mandap. It’s somehow modern and traditional at the same time.
While the wedding day is a happy one, I love this photo of the traditional vidaai, where the bride’s parents send off their newly married daughter with her new husband. It’s an emotional moment every time.
Loved the design from Imperial Decor
I love introducing the newlyweds to the drumming of a dhol. Very celebratory!
Saima Khan of Saima Says Design designed these modern, acrylic signs, as well as the gold table numbers below. The wedding’s branding was consistent from the garba to the wedding ceremony and reception.
Our bride’s father was a very entertaining and funny man!
As a late night snacks, our couple hired Captain Cookie & the Milk Man to stop by for some ice cream sandwiches. So good! They even got to step inside the truck and served a few guests!

Spring Indian Wedding at Lansdowne Resort
Over the past few years, spring in the Washington, DC area meant thunderstorms. This year is no exception. Although the wedding ceremony didn’t start until late afternoon, we had to decide early on wedding morning whether to have the ceremony on the outdoor terrace at Lansdowne Resort because setting up the stage and mandap structure required many hours of work. We made the right decision to have it indoors because sure enough, the skies opened up with torrential rain early afternoon. The mandap would have been ruined. Luckily, the rain stopped long enough for the baraat to take place and for part of the cocktail outdoors. The rain started again halfway through cocktail hour. Examples like this is why you should always have a backup plan for inclement weather if any part of your wedding takes place outdoors. All photos by Regeti’s
I loved the bridesmaids’ lehengas – the yellow top choli and the floral skirts were very unique.
The mother of the bride’s evening outfit was stunning and quite modern in a long sleeve black and gold, with a little bit of bohemian vibe
